American Idol announces audition cities and dates

American Idol wannabes, you have more than a month to get that singing voice in shape to impress Paula, Randy and Simon.

The schedule for auditions for American Idol’s seventh season was released today.

Here is the list, according to TV Guide:

July 30: Qualcomm Stadium, San Diego
August 6: Texas Stadium, Dallas
August 10: Qwest Center, Omaha, Neb.
August 14: Atlanta, Ga. (site TBA)
August 18: North Charleston (S.C.) Coliseum
August 22: American Airlines Arena, Miami, Fla.
August 27: Wachovia Center, Philadelphia

Contestants must be age 16 to 28, as of July 28.

I’d also like to request that contestants actually be able to sing.

see, I'd like to request that as many dillusional, arrogant, non-singing yahoos show up as possible...lol...the "real" singers get a couple of months to strut their stuff...auditions are all about the weirdos, baby!!

have you learned nothing about me, TTG?...I'm all about watching the freaks...lol...and I love to see people make fools of themselves...American Idol auditions are the best for that!!

The only thing better than American Idol auditions are the auditions for So You Think You Can Dance. The reason? Most of the absolute worst auditioners have someone with them who supports them so blindly that the auditioner has a false sense of talent. It's awesome!

Hey Tim's Wife! Welcome!

Hmmm...Suddenly I'm getting a little insecure. Mr. Tube Talk has always told me I'm a great writer and a wonderful human being.....
